John Dangberg
Biography
John Dangberg has 30 years of experience in the public sector with an emphasis on community development and economic development. Mr. Dangberg has been an Assistant City Manager since 2006 and he is currently the Project Director for the Entertainment and Sports Center Project which is a $447 million dollar construction of a downtown arena.
Mr. Dangberg came to the City of Sacramento from USA Properties Fund where he served as the President of the Multi-Family Housing Division. Prior to that he served as the chief executive for the Capitol Area Development Authority (CADA) and as the Director of Community Development with the Sacramento Housing and Redevelopment Agency.
Mr. Dangberg has served on boards supporting economic and urban development including the California Association for Local Economic Development, the Sacramento Area Trade and Commerce Association and the Downtown Sacramento Partnership. He is an Urban Land Institute Rose Fellow and a Member of Lambda Alpha International Honorary Society for the Advancement of Land Economics.
